What is ‘Global Village’?

Our Global Village programme is a unique opportunity for enthusiastic and committed members of the Irish public to volunteer overseas on Habitat projects.

Volunteering overseas gives volunteers a hands-on, grassroots experience, living and building alongside future homeowners, community members and local trade professionals.

This is an opportunity to have a fantastic experience volunteering overseas while making friends, challenging yourself, learning about a different culture and giving something back!

Small teams of volunteers travel for up to two weeks to various locations around the world. No construction experience is required as all training is provided onsite by skilled professionals. Throughout the overseas volunteering process there is full support from Habitat for Humanity.

If you would like to set up your own volunteer team of family/friends please contact our International Programme Manager Mary on 01-5310033 or mary@habitatireland.ie.
