Help Habitat Ireland by giving some feedback

Churches & Other Groups

Church Group working Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian charity that works around the world with home-partners and volunteers from all backgrounds, races and religions to build homes.

Join our Mission!

Churches are major supporters of Habitat for Humanity, and can get involved by praying for our work, sending teams on short-term missions to help build and by giving donations.
Habitat for Humanity provides a means to build community and fellowship within your church, and gives you the opportunity to show God’s love in action.

Participate in a Global Village Trip.

Habitat for Humanity provides practical opportunities to participate in world mission for one or two weeks, or an opportunity to build in Ireland for a day. This can provide a great mission focus for a local church or for a group of local churches working together. It’s a hands-on opportunity to work with God’s people in need. Contact our coordinator Lydia on 01-6299663 or if for more information.

Anyone can be great, because anyone can serve.
Rev. Martin Luther King

Fundraise

Habitat for Humanity needs your financial support for its mission. Why not have a gift day or special event in order to raise funds? Your church could decide to fundraise to build a house. The end result is a family moving from poverty housing into a simple, decent home to call their own.

If you’d like to make a regular commitment to Habitat for Humanity, why not consider holding regular fundraising events, volunteering and promoting the Habitat for Humanity solution to poverty housing. You’ll really make a difference to the lives of people in need.

Quotations from our Supporters

I wish to make an earnest call to everyone, Christians and followers of other religions, to work together to build a world without violence, a world that loves life, and grows in justice and solidarity. God bless all who are building this home during World Youth Day 2002 for Habitat for Humanity.
Pope John Paul II

Habitat for Humanity mobilises churches of all kinds, using the labour of enthusiastic volunteers and the equity of beneficiaries in a uniquely successful formula. It is a formula that continues to be on the cutting edge of housing solutions and community regeneration both in Ireland and overseas. Habitat for Humanity offers churches a practical way to alleviate poverty housing overseas.
The Rev. Nicky Gumbel, Alpha Leader

Sometimes God looks down on the world… at Sudan, or Zimbabwe or Burma. and he says ‘why do my children treat each other like this? … God looks down on the world today and sees you. And a little angel goes up and wipes a tear from God’s eye. God smiles because he sees you doing this fantastic work for Habitat for Humanity
