Who we are
Habitat for Humanity Ireland is an independent, nonprofit organisation that operates in partnership with and on behalf of Habitat for Humanity International in Ireland.
The Irish office coordinates all aspects of Habitat for Humanity’s programmes in Ireland, including volunteer recruitment, fundraising and local renovation projects.
Michael McKiernan – Chairperson. Michael joined the board in October 2011 as Human Resources Director. He is a Director of PwC, with 15 years of European public and private projects, and strong experience in coaching, change, cross-cultural management, leadership.
David Gunning – Director of Strategy (join the board in 2013). A former CEO of Coillte, he led it to become Ireland’s largest natural resources company. Previously he was a leader for 20 years with blue chip organisations in the technology sector.
Siobhan O’Dowd – Director of Marketing (joined the board in 2012). Siobhan is an Integrated Marketing Manager for Accenture Ireland, has lectured at Dun Laoghaire VEC, and worked for Pod (that started Electric Picnic), with an MBA from the Michael Smurfit School of Business at UCD.
Mark Lohan (joined the board in 2015). As a qualified Chartered Accountant, he has 19 years experience in Private Companies (FTSE Plcs) and strong experience in Change Management and Corporate Recovery.
Greg Foster (joined the board in 2014). Greg is Vice-President of Habitat for Humanity Europe Middle East and Africa, where he started in 2007. He has over 20 years experience in international development and a Masters in Development from Eastern University in the USA.
